Must have a mechanical contractor’s license, and a journey or master plumber’s license and meet the requirements for registration with the State of MI per the Building Officials and Inspectors Registration Act (Act 54 of the PA of 1986). Certified under Part 91 Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control within 1 year of hire, valid MI DL and computer skills. Starting Union wage of $21.17/hour plus fringe benefit pkg. This is a Teamsters 214 Union position, Grade 7 full County benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and pension plan. Starting pay is $24.75 per hour. An applicant for registration as a provisional mechanical inspector shall have possessed a mechanical license for not less than 1 year in 3 or more categories 1, 2, 4, or 9 as defined in 1984 PA 192, MCL 338.971 to MCL 338.988 (the Forbes Mechanical Contractor's Act).

Plumbing Inspector Rule 46.
An applicant for registration as a provisional plumbing inspector shall have possessed a journey license for not less than 2 years or shall be licensed as a master plumber under the provisions of the State Plumbing Act, 2002 PA 733, MCL 338.3511 to 338.3569.
